NBA 3Three was born on April 8, 1998, in Baton Rouge, the capital city of Louisiana. He had a difficult childhood as he had to put up with issues like racism, crime, and violence. NBA 3Three was never good at academics. He failed to score good grades and hence had to switch from one school to another on a regular basis. He was even involved in a couple of illegal acts, for which he was suspended from school.
The police officers of Baton Rouge made his childhood even more difficult as they often bombarded him with racist comments. The black community in Baton Rouge was stereotyped and hence NBA 3Three had a difficult time growing up in the neighborhood. NBA 3Three found solace through rapping and hence started hanging around with his childhood friends, who too were interested in rapping.
NBA 3Three was inspired by the famous rapper Shy Glizzy. Since Glizzy was often associated with the number ‘three,’ NBA 3Three decided to include the number in his stage name. He is also referred to as ‘NBA OG 3Three.’ He often posts videos and photos on his Instagram account.
NBA 3Three grew up in a place where hip-hop ruled the roost. He met ‘NBA YoungBoy’ when he was just four years and together, they started composing raps. Eventually, many other young rappers joined them, which led to the formation of the group ‘Never Broke Again.’
It was ‘YoungBoy’ who came up with the idea of creating ‘NBA.’ The idea was well supported by the rest of the rappers and soon the collective was formed. Along with NBA 3Three and NBA YoungBoy, the collective has rappers like Trulondrieck, NBA KD, Montana, and NBA Ben 10. These rappers compose their tracks in the Southern hip hop genre.
Initially, NBA 3Three was assigned the role of the manager of the group and he used to manage everything from finances to public relations. Though he was interested in rapping, he hadn’t joined other rappers in recording the tracks, but ‘NBA YoungBoy’ insisted that he joined the collective as a rapper and NBA 3Three was happy to oblige.
Since NBA 3Three was passionate about rapping, it did not take him long to fine-tune his skills. Soon, his name was included in the list of the collective’s featured artists. NBA 3Three gained prominence as a rapper after the release of tracks like ‘That Gang,’ ‘Wrong Wit Em,’ and ‘Gotta Survive.’
When ‘NBA YoungBoy’ was arrested, it was NBA 3Three who took care of all his legal proceedings. He even supported him during his trials and also took care of the collective. When ‘NBA YoungBoy’ composed a few tracks during his imprisonment, NBA 3Three took up the responsibility of releasing his tracks through their in-house record label ‘NBA Records.’
