Miss Monkey

Miss Monkey was born on September 9, 2006 in Thornhill, Ontario, Canada. She is the youngest in a family of four that includes father Andres, mother Rosanna, and brother Mr. Monkey (his original name has still not been disclosed). Andres worked as a web developer before he started making videos on social media. He is originally from Chile, while Rosanna is from Uruguay. Initially when Papa Bee started making videos and posted them on Vine, he was in love with the simplicity of the Vine app. He and Miss Monkey decided to make some funny videos, and within six months the videos started becoming more and more popular and that’s when they incorporated the whole family.

Miss Monkey and her family’s laugh-out-loud videos have quickly amassed a loyal fan base—over 17 million combined subscribers across various online platforms. In one of their most popular videos—‘Kidz Bop: Family Edition,’ the family raps over Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre’s ‘The Next Episode.’ Within a few days, the video had amassed over 138k likes and had been shared 117k times! In 2015, Miss Monkey had posted a video dressed as Mini Miranda, based on Miranda Sings, a fictional character created by popular YouTuber Colleen Ballinger. In April 2017, Miss Monkey and her family posted a video on YouTube called ‘Starbucks Unicorn Frappuccino at Home!!–DIY.’ This video got over 715k views and 176k likes in just a few days! The Eh Bee Family gets ideas for the videos from everyday life. Every member of the family then gives approval, and soon the shooting starts.

But why is the family called Eh Bee Family, the kids Monkeys, and the parents Bees? When Andres first entered social media, he called his family Eh Bee as it sounds like "A B", the initials of his first and last name. He named his wife Mama Bee, but called their kids monkeys because they were very young, cute and cuddly. Miss Monkey is good at juggling between school, video shooting and touring. Her teachers are very flexible with giving her homework while she is on a trip, and Mother Bee works with her on her schoolwork while on a tour.

Fans of Miss Monkey find her hilarious and love her for her witty lines. Her videos appear on various social media platforms, including YouTube, Vine, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. She, along with her family, also stars in sponsored advertisements for companies like Disney, Samsung, Johnson & Johnson, Pepsi, Toyota and Regal Cinemas. They have created sponsored content for many brands. Some advertisers are said to have even paid over $10,000 per Vine! On their official website, the Eh Bee family has listed hundreds of top brands that they have worked with. Miss Monkey has also been featured in the ‘New York Daily News’, ‘Good Morning America,’ ‘Buzzfeed’ and ‘Today.com.’ The family was nominated for a Streamy Award in 2015 and a Shorty Award in 2016.
