Matt Rife was born on September 10, 1995, in Columbus, Ohio, the USA. He later moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. He briefly dated actress Kate Beckinsale for two months in 2017.
Matt Rife refers to himself as the “Justin Bieber of comedy.” Passionate about standup comedy from a young age, he began performing regularly at the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles. This rising star has been performing as a professional since he was 15 years old. Besides MTV's popular show ‘Wild N Out’, which was created and hosted by comedian and actor Nick Cannon, Matt was also featured in ‘Average Joe’ and ‘WTH: Welcome to Howler.’ He received critical appreciation for his performance in ‘Average Joe.’ When he was 17, he became the youngest performer ever on ‘ComicView’. He also appeared in an episode of the comedy show, ‘Acting Out’.
In 2015, he played a small role in the thriller film, ‘Room 236’. In 2016, he was featured in ten episodes of ‘Wild & on Tour’. He was cast as Jesse in the comedy series, ‘WTH: Welcome to Howler,’ along with Cameron Boyce, Murray Wyatt Rundus, Felix Avitia and Sophie Reynolds, in the same year. He did two episodes of the live action comedy series ‘Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything’, where he played Doyle O’ Doyle. In 2017, he was a co-host of the MTV show ‘TRL.’ He also participated as a contestant on ‘The Challenge: Champs Vs Stars’.
