Mark Valley was born on December 24, 1964, in Ogdensburg, New York, USA, to Martha and Michael Valley. He has three sisters, Jennifer, Lynne, and Marnie, out of who two are actresses. He attended the United States Military Academy and graduated from there with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and engineering. Valley married actress Anna Torv in 2008. However, the couple separated a year later.
Mark Valley first appeared on the big screen in 1993, in the flick ‘The Innocent’. He then began appearing in the series ‘Days of Our Lives’. He did the movie ‘Breast Men’ in 1997. Soon after this, he appeared in the drama ‘Brimstone’. The actor then got featured in the films ‘The Next Best Thing’ and ‘Jericho’ in 2000. The same year, he began playing Will Gluck and Richard Lockhart in ‘Once and Again’ and ‘ER’ respectively. After this, he had a lead role on the series ‘Pasadena’.
Valley appeared in an episode of ‘Spin City’ in 2002. The following year, he joined the cast of ‘Keen Eddie’ as a series regular. From 2004 to 2007, he portrayed the character of Brad Chase in the series ‘Boston Legal’. During this time, he also did voice work for the animated flick ‘Shrek the Third’. Soon after this, the actor had a regular role in the drama ‘Fringe’.
In 2010, he was cast as Christopher Chance in the series ‘Human Target’. A year later, he was cast as Oliver Richard in ‘Harry's Law’, a role he played till 2012. During this time, Valley also appeared in the movies ‘Stolen’ and ‘Zero Dark Thirty’. He then voiced Clark Kent/Superman for the animated film ‘Batman: The Dark Knight Returns’ in 2013. That year, he also acted in the series ‘Body of Proof’. After this, he had roles in the dramas ‘Crisis’ and ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’. More recently, the American artist voiced Duque Dodo in the flick ‘Ferdinand’ in 2017. The same year, he appeared in an episode each of ‘Feud: Bette and Joan’ and ‘Bloodline.’
