Luke Evans was born on 15 April 1979, in Pontypool, Wales, UK, to David Evans and Yvonne Evans. He attended The London Studio Centre after winning a scholarship. He graduated from there in the year 2000. In 2002, Evans publically stated that everyone knew that he is gay and that he has never tried to hide this fact. In 2014, it was in the news that the actor is dating model Jon Kortajarena. However, they split in 2016.
Luke Evans started his stage career in 2000. From then till 2008, he appeared in several London's West End productions such as ‘Taboo’, ‘La Cava’, ‘Miss Saigon’, ‘Rent’ and ‘Avenue Q’. After this, he did his most significant theatre role of Vincent for the play titled ‘Small Change’. Then Evans made his film debut in ‘Clash of the Titans’ 2010 remake. Following this, he did the movie ‘Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll’. In 2011, the actor did a number of films including ‘Blitz’, ‘The Three Musketeers’, ‘Immortals’ and ‘Flutter’. The following year, he got featured in the movies ‘Ashes’ and ‘The Raven’. He also appeared in the horror flick ‘No One Lives’ as well as in the high fantasy adventure movie ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ during that time.
After this, Luke Evans did the action film ‘Fast & Furious 6’ in 2013. The same year, he appeared in two episodes of the TV series ‘The Great Train Robbery’. He then performed the role of the vampire Dracula in the character's film origin story named ‘Dracula Untold’. In 2015, the actor did two movies namely ‘Furious 7´and ‘High-Rise’.
