Lucas Black was born as Lucas York Black on November 29, 1982 in Decatur, Alabama, USA, to Larry Black, a museum employee, and Jan Gillespie, an office worker. He grew up in Alabama along with his two older siblings, Lee and Lori. The actor attended Speake High School and graduated from there in 2001.
In 2010, he got married to Maggie O'Brien. Together, the couple has three children.
Lucas Black first appeared in the 1994 movie ‘The War’. He was then cast as Caleb Temple in the drama series ‘American Gothic’. In 1996, he appeared in the movies ‘Sling Blade’ and ‘Ghosts of Mississippi’. After this, he got featured in the films ‘Flash’ and ‘The X-Files’. Then in 1999, Black did a voice role in the flick ‘Our Friend, Martin’. The following year, he did the TV movie ‘The Miracle Worker’.
From 2003 to 2013, the actor appeared in a number of films including ‘Cold Mountain’, ‘Killer Diller’, ‘Friday Night Lights’, ‘Deepwater’, ‘The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift’, ‘Get Low’, ‘Legion’, ‘Seven Days in Utopia’, ‘Promised Land’, ‘42’ and ‘Fast & Furious 6.’ In 2014, the American actor guest-starred as Special Agent Christopher Lasalle in the series ‘NCIS.’ Later on, he joined the series as a lead character in ‘NCIS: New Orleans’. Then in 2015, Black was cast in the flick ‘Furious 7’ in which he reprised his role of Sean Boswell.
