Louis John Cole was born on 28 April 1983, in Epsom, Surrey, England. His father was a teacher and mother was an IT trainer. Cole has two sisters named Hilary and Darcy. He has a lot of friends. Besides this, the YouTube star has a girlfriend, Raya Encheva. The couple often collaborates in the videos for the channel.
Louis Cole created his channel ‘FunForLouis’ in 2011. His first video was regarding his Norway Road trip. This video was followed by several other travelling and adventure videos such as ‘Adventure Vlog-Park Ranger Trouble’, ‘Yoda Loves Dj-ing-UK Roadtrip’ and ‘Pancakes and Bicycles-LA Trip’, to name a few. Cole also updated his channel by posting daily vlogs on it.
Some of the videos that captured the limelight were: ‘Shooting Bananas’, ‘Jacuzzi Fire’, ‘My Jungle Bedroom-My Memories’, ‘Homeless in Austin’, ‘I got Arrested’, ‘Egyptian Meet up’, ‘Abandoned Adventures’ and ‘Water madness’. All these videos garnered a positive feedback from the viewers. This encouraged the YouTuber to create more vlogs and he came up with many other interesting videos. This journey continues and as of today, Cole has created more than 1000 videos. Coming to the channel’s popularity, it has earned more than 1.9 million subscribers till date.
Louis Cole has a brand that is based on his slogan ‘Live The Adventure’ abbreviated as LTA. It is a travel management agency that has two offices in Cape Town and London respectively. Cole, along with his friends Jake Evans and Steve Booker, founded a clothing company under the name ‘Find The Nomads’ in 2014. Unfortunately, the company dissolved in 2016.
Cole is also the founder of the Boombus project. This project involves a double-decker bus that has been equipped as a mobile center to offer music and video game facilities to the homeless youth. After signing with the Digital Seeker Network, Cole made an announcement regarding their upcoming project ‘Flying the Globe’ which would involve travelling to 22 cities with his mate and pilot Juan-Peter Schulze over a period of 60 to 90 days. On 22 March 2017, Louis Cole announced that he was about to launch a Kickstarter campaign ‘Beyond Borders - A Film Celebrating Unity’ that will fund a documentary flying across the globe. This project successfully crossed its goal that was set at £100,000, and reached the total amount of £111,563.
In 2012, Louis Cole got a serious warning from the RSPCA after he uploaded videos on his ‘FoodForLouis’ channel showing him eating live spiders and goldfish on a trip. As a result of violating the Animal Welfare Act 2006, the YouTuber was arrested in UK at Heathrow Airport the following year. Cole again came into limelight in 2016 while driving in New Zealand for speeding over the speed limit. Due to this incident, he received a fine of NZD$400. The same year, the YouTuber was criticized for videos related to his North Korea visit. He was accused of promoting the ideology of the North Korean regime.
