Louie Castro was born on August 18, 1999 in the United States. He is extremely close to his family as his family has supported him through thick and thin. He features his mother, Karina Castro, regularly on Instagram. He has two sisters: Andrea Castro and Yoatzi Castro. Yoatzi herself is a YouTuber and social media celebrity who has collaborated with Louie Castro on his channel.

His hobbies include watching movies and learning to wear makeup. His favorite movie genre is horror as he loves being spooked out. Louie is currently in a relationship with Louiie Meadows, and the couple does not shy away from speaking about their relationship to the public. Louie Castro decided to start a YouTube channel in March 2014 for fun after many of his twitter followers asked to start vlogging. Before that, he was active on Twitter and shared short videos of 10 to 15 seconds. He named his channel ‘Louie’s Life’ and initially began posting videos such as ‘School’, ‘Pet Peeves’, and ‘My Other Half’ to introduce his life to the community. Once he gained a modest following, he started exploring other popular vlog ideas and made vlogs such as ‘Bean Boozled Challenge’ and ‘BEST Halloween Make Up Tutorial’.

He started learning editing by himself and made more professional videos as the months passed. His most popular vlog ‘Losing my virginity in 6th grade!? | STORYTIME’ was viewed over 4 million times. Other popular uploads include ‘Latinas Going Through a Break Up’ and ‘Prom Vlog 2017: Get Ready with Me!’

He collaborated with his sister Yoatzi and covered Rihanna’s ‘Stay’ on his channel. His most popular vlogging technique is ‘Story Time’, where he narrates incidents that happened to him in the form of a story. As a social media influencer, he is often sought out by new-age cosmetic brands who aim to diversify their range. He has promoted VCEE Beauty and Tarte Cosmetic on his Instagram.

He also joined Musical.ly as ‘the_hamie_louie’ and became hit for his amusing videos. He is also popular on Instagram and his Instagram feed is filled with his different looks and photos with his boyfriend. Castro said that his motivation stems from the constant feedback, suggestions and love he receives from his fans. His long-term goal is to work in the film industry where he can film and edit videos. In the meanwhile, he aims to upload a video every week on his channel.
