Logan is a sports enthusiast and plays soccer, basketball and hopes to take tennis lessons in the future and is a LA Lakers fan. He also spends most of his spare time watching ‘The Simpsons’.
He had formed a band ‘Indigo’ in 2006 with Dean Collins singing the vocals, musician Daniel Pashman playing drums and Logan playing the keyboard and guitar.
He has a desire to become a director and has said that acting has helped him understand the role of a director much better and he will someday become a director.
Born on January 19, 1992 to Jewish parents Lisa Goldman and Larry Lerman in Beverly Hills, California, Logan Wade Lerman is the youngest child in the family. He has a sister Lindsey and a brother named Lucas who is also an actor. Logan’s mother works as his manager and his father is a businessperson and an orthotist. His family also owns a prosthetics company which his great-grandfather Jacob Lerman founded in 1915. The company is named Lerman& Son.
He is a Jewish. He attended Hebrew School and has had a Bar Mitzvah ceremony in a conservative Jewish synagogue. He is of German, Polish, Mexican and Russian heritage and of Ashkenazi Jewish descent. His paternal grandfather Max Lerman was a Polish Jewish born in Berlin, Germany. His paternal grandmother, Mina Shwartz was a Russian Jewish born in Mexico City, Mexico. His maternal grandfather was Polish Jewish immigrant while his grandmother was born in Los Angeles in a Jewish family.
He is distantly related to twin singers, Ewan and Jaron Lowenstein.
As a child, he attended Beverly Hills High School. He had applied and got accepted in the New York University in 2010 to study creative writing, but he postponed his attendance.
Logan always had a penchant for acting and describes himself as a film buff. By the time he was two and half years old, he had already expressed his desire to become an actor after watching a Jackie Chan movie.
In 2000-01, Logan shared screen with Mel Gibson in two movies- ‘The Patriot’ and ‘What Women Want’. He was also seen in a small role in the movie ‘Riding in Cars with boys.’
In 2003, he starred in ‘A Painted House’ by John Grisham and made his debut on the small-screen by guest starring in the television series ‘10-8: Officers on Duty’.
He played the younger version of Ashton Kutcher’s character Evan Treborn in the 2004 Sci-Fi thriller ‘The Butterfly Effect.’
Along the years, Logan’s performances received acclamation. Between the years 2005-09, he was seen in several successful ventures including ‘Hoot’, ‘The Number 23’, ‘3:10 to Yuma’, ‘Gamer’ and any more.
Logan’s first major film was ‘A Painted House’ where he played the protagonist. He played Luke Chandler around whom the whole story revolves. He was just 11 years old then. However, his acting was breathtaking and he was considered as an actor to watch for in the future.
He played ‘Robert Bobby McAllister’ in the WB series ‘Jack and Bobby’, which later also aired on the ABC Network. The series portrayed thestory of two local teenage brothers, where one of them would become the President of United States in the years 2041-2049.
Logan is well-known for his role as Percy Jackson, the demigod son of Poseidon in the film series of the same name. The Percy Jackson series was a big hit and Logan got a large amount of fan following after doing the film.
Logan was cast as ‘d’Artagnan’ in the movie ‘The Three Musketeers in 3D’ which was based on the novel of the same title written by Alexander Dumas.
He worked with renowned actors like Emma Watson and Ezra Miller inthe 2012 coming of age drama movie ‘The Perks of being a Wall flower’ based on the novel by Stephen Chbosky.
