Lindy Tsang

Lindy Tsang was born on 6 December 1986 in Dundonald, a civil parish lying on the eastern fringes of Belfast in Northern Ireland. However, she spent the better part of her childhood in Glengormley, a small town in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. She is of Chinese descent.

Since her parents, who owned and operated a restaurant, had to stay outdoors most of the time, she was taken care of by her grandparents. She stood out as a Chinese kid in her primary school for which she was bullied and browbeaten and the persecution continued even when she reached high school.

Her parents gave her the option of changing schools if she desired to but recalls turning down the offer as she realized that regardless of wherever she went she would remain the same person.

Lindy Tsang recollects struggling very hard for landing a job and slogging for long hours all through the week in the restaurant owned by her parents. During her leisure time, she used to watch tutorials on makeup that motivated and inspired her to make her debut video, ‘Dance it Out’ in August of 2007.

She posted her first footage on YouTube in August 2007. Within a short period of time created two personal channels on YouTube, ‘Bubzbeauty’ and ‘Bubzvlog’. She uploaded all her vlogs revolving around her daily activities on ‘Bubzvlog’ many of which have a sarcastic touch and do not have any script.

Lindy regularly posts updates about her line of clothing, cosmetic products including makeup brushes, and footages about her family members and pets on Bubzbeauty.com. She cashed in on her professional experience as a beautician to strike deals with world-class brands like Maybelline, Verizon Wireless, Skin Inc, and Listerine.

She assisted in building academic institutions for disadvantaged and deprived children on a global basis through a project titled, ‘Pencils of Promise’. She had to relocate to Hong Kong from her homeland to establish herself as an entrepreneur dealing in apparels.
