Lindsay learned dancing in her mother’s dance academy. She also ended up winning several dance competitions which helped her to gain confidence. She also learnt a trick or two by participating in the competitions.

At her mother’s dance studio, she was exposed to different forms of dance. She then went on to learn various dance forms, such as jazz, ballroom dancing, ballet, Hip-hop, contemporary and professional Latin.

Over a period of time her mother’s dance studio became famous and producers of famous TV shows began to associate themselves with the studio for their dance based reality shows. This helped Lindsay to get familiar with the glitz and glamor of television shows.

While in high school, Lindsay auditioned for the show, ‘So You Think You can Dance’. Though she wasn’t particularly interested in participating, she did so, based on her mother’s advice. But she performed extremely well during the auditions and was subsequently selected for the show by the judges who were impressed by her performances.

After getting selected for the ninth season of ‘So You Think You Can Dance’, she kept on impressing the judges with her amazing dancing skills. Not only was she a trained dancer but was also one of the youngest contestants in the show, which helped her to some degree.

She was paired with Cole Horibe, a martial arts fusion dancer. The pair was one of the main attractions of the show. However, during the final stages of the competition, the competitors had to switch their partners every week and this proved to be a challenge for Lindsay.

She was eventually eliminated from the show but had won millions of hearts including that of the judges. The support that she received from her fans helped her to gain some confidence. She was also invited to a tour across 30 cities that featured some of the best dancers. This further helped her to gain immense confidence.

In 2013 began the 16th season of the popular dance reality show, ‘Dancing with the Stars’. In the show, a celebrity contestant is paired with a professional dancer and Lindsay was paired with the professional boxer, Victor Ortiz. She was the second youngest professional on the show. By now, she had become quite popular, thanks to her appearance in ‘So You Think You Can Dance’.

Unfortunately, Lindsay and Victor were eliminated in the sixth week. In the next season of the show, she once again made her presence felt by coming up with some incredible performances. She continued to participate until the 25th season. In each and every season that she participated, she was recognized as a professional dancer and was always paired with a celebrity.
