In an interview, Lim stated about her preference for younger men over older men for dating.
Lim was born on June 23, 1990 in South Korea. Since she is new to the industry, not much information is available about her family and childhood.
She is an alumnus of Korea National University of Arts from where she graduated with major in Performing Arts. Lim always wanted to become an actress and did many modelling assignments during her college days.
Modelling and stage-plays helped her to get into the film industry and hence was offered few short films during this period.
Lim’s acting started with short films and series way before she debuted in ‘Obsessed’. The period from 2010 to 2013 can be regarded as her struggling phase as her reoccurrence on screen with short films and series couldn’t get her the much-deserved limelight.

A meeting with director Kim Dae-woo got her the first commercial feature film. Kim, who had directed some super hits, was completely smitten by Lim’s charm and charisma. He instantly signed her for his next venture and Lim became the lead for the erotic thriller ‘Obsessed’, which released in 2014.
Initially the critics were sceptical about her inexperience as the script demanded a methodical acting. But Lim looked so natural, even while performing the bold scenes that her inexperience didn’t matter anymore.
‘Obsessed’ became a huge success and Lim’s dream of becoming a mainstream actress came true. Her performance was well received both by the audience and the critics.
