Lily Jane Collins has always been secretive regarding her love relationships. However, the ‘Mirror Mirror’ star was rumored to be in relationship with Jamie Campbell Bower in 2012.

The couple broke up in 2013. The same year, the actress told the media that she had witnessed how publicity complicated her parents’ relationship and therefore she wasn’t comfortable exposing her personal life publicly.

In 2015, the actress expressed her desire to marry Bower after they patched up once again.

Lily Jane Collins was born on March 18, 1989 in Guildford, Surrey, England. Her father, Phil Collins, is an English musician and her mother, Jill Tavelman, is the ex-president of Beverly Hills Women's Club. This was her father’s second marriage.

The actress is of Russian Jewish, English and German descent.

Lily Collins was first seen in the BBC series ‘Growing Pains’ when she was two.

In 1996, at the age of seven, she moved to Los Angeles after her parents split up. Since then, she has been living with her mother.

Collins studied at the Harvard-Westlake School. After graduating, she attended the University of Southern California and did her major in broadcast journalism. As a teenager, she wrote columns for popular magazines including ‘NY Confidential’, ‘Los Angeles Times’, ‘Teen Vogue’ and ‘Seventeen’.

In the year 2007, Lily Collins was selected by the brand ‘Chanel’ to wear their gown at ‘Bal des débutantes’ held at the Hôtel de Crillon in Paris.

In 2011, Collins played the role of Lucy in the thriller flick ‘Priest’ starring opposite Paul Bettany.

The actress’s career reached newer heights in 2012 when she played the role of Snow White in ‘Mirror Mirror’ – a screen adaption of ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’. The same year she did the movie ‘Stuck in Love’ alongside Logan Lerman, Jennifer Connelly and Greg Kinnear.

Lily Jane Collins is well-known for her role in the 2011 psychological action-thriller movie ‘Abduction’.

She played a major role in ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’ in 2013. This film was adapted from the first book of award-winning ‘The Mortal Instruments’ series by Cassandra Clare.

In 2016, she had a leading role as Marla Mabrey in the romantic comedy-drama ‘Rules Don't Apply’. This role earned her a Golden Globe Award nomination.
