Liliana Mumy was born on April 16, 1994, in San Marcos, California, USA. Her childhood name is Liliana Berry Davis Mumy.
Her mother, Eileen Davis, is a childbirth educator, and her father, Charles William Mumy Jr. (also known as Bill Mumy), an actor, musician, author, voice actor, and a former child artist. Her father has German, English, Scottish, and French-Canadian ancestry, while her mother is Jewish.
She attended Laurel Hall School in North California, then moved to attend Campbell Hall School and then graduated from the Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California.
She started her acting career in the year 2001 at the age of seven in the TV Show ‘Scrubs’ in which she appeared as the character named Samantha Tanner in the episode ‘My old lady’.
She followed up with an appearance in the ‘That ‘70s Show’ as Donna in the episode ‘The class picture’, and in ‘Strong Medicine’ as Annie in the episode ‘Discharged’. In 2002, she made her movie debut with the film ‘The Santa Clause 2’, playing the character of Lucy Miller.
From 2002-2004, she had a recurring role as the character Rachel McNamara in the TV series ‘My Wife and Kids’ for 6 episodes. She played the character Audrey Fremont in the TV series ‘The Twilight Zone’ in the episode ‘It’s still a good life’.
One of her most well-known roles as a child movie star came in 2003 in the movie ‘Cheaper by the Dozen’ starring Steve Martin, where she played the role of Jessica Baker. She reprised her character in the 2005 sequel ‘Cheaper by the Dozen 2’.
In 2006, she reprised her role as the character Lucy Miller in the movie ‘The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause’. She played the character Lena in the episode ‘After Dark’ of the TV series ‘Crossing Jordan’.
Liliana Mumy is an accomplished voice actor. She began her career in voice acting when she was five years old, lending her voice to the character Nonoko Yamada in the English dubbed version of the Japanese animated comedy film ‘My neighbors the Yamadas’.
She followed it up with lending her voice to the character Mertle Edmonds in the animated direct to video animated science fiction comedy film ‘Stitch! The Movie’, in 2003. She lent her voice to the character Madge in the English version of the 2004 Japanese animated fantasy film ‘Howl’s Moving Castle’.
She was part of the voice cast for the 2004 Disney direct to video animated film ‘Mulan II’, which was a sequel to the 1998 animated film ‘Mulan’.
She lent her voice to the character Amy in the Paramount Pictures’ 2006 animated television special titled ‘Holly Hobbie and Friends: Surprise Party’. Her real father, Bill Mumy, lent his voice as the father of the character Amy, Bud, in this animated television special which was later released as a DVD and had five follow-ups till 2010, of all of which she was part of the voce cast and reprised her role as Amy.
She lent her voice to the character Mertle Edmonds in the Disney Australia animated film ‘Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch has a Glitch’.
