Lil Reese was born on January 6, 1993, in Chicago, Illinois, United States of America. It is not known if Lil Reese is dating anyone but on June 15, 2014, he welcomed his first daughter Aubri to the world.
Like many other African-American youngsters growing up in Chicago, Illinois, Lil Reese’s early life was mired by gang violence and affiliation to gangs. He was largely influenced by the gang lifestyle. Appearing on Chief Keef’s ‘I Don’t Like’ gave him the exposure he needed and he came under the scanner of the Hip-Hop music producer ‘No ID’. Having someone like No ID, who had worked with some of the best rap artists in the world like Kanye West and Common was a turning point in Reese’s career. He soon signed with Def Jam Recordings.
In spite of a few hit singles, it wasn’t until he started his collaboration with big names in the rap industry in 2013, that he started recording regularly. He collaborated with Lil Durk on ‘Competition’ and ‘Street Life’, both of which were well received. ‘No Lackin’ featuring rappers Funkmaster Flex, Waka Flocka Flame, and Wale was a hit too. In 2014, two of his songs, ‘On My Soul’ featuring Lil Herb and ‘On A T-Shirt’ featuring Piles were hits with the audience. Two of his biggest hits came in 2015 when he collaborated with Fredo Santana for ‘Bad Habits’ and ‘Go To War’.
Lil Reese has been part of controversies ever since the beginning of his career. On May 2010, he was found guilty of burglary charges and given a two-year probation. On October 24, 2012, that Reese was seen in a YouTube video, with another man, brutally assaulting Tiairah Marie in a party. He was arrested and released on a US$100,000 bond. While Reese later apologized to the woman claiming it wasn’t the right thing to do, Tiairah responded with disdain and brushed aside the incident.
But the disturbing nature of his career doesn’t end with that. He is known to be a part of the gang ‘Black Disciples’, which has been in a feud with ‘Gangster Disciples’. He even had beef with the rapper Joseph 'Lil JoJo' Coleman, who was a part of the rival gang, until Lil JoJo was gunned down by unknown assailants on September 4, 2012. Following the death, Chief Keef who is part of ‘Black Disciples’ made a controversial tweet stating ‘‘Its Sad Cuz Dat Nigga jojo Wanted to Be Jus Like Us #LMAO’’. He later claimed that his account had been hacked. He along with Lil Reese remain the prime suspects behind Lil JoJo’s murder. Reese has also been arrested multiple time on charges of marijuana possession.
