Lewis Brindley was born on October 22, 1983 in England. His father’s name is Alan Brindley and brother’s name is Ralph. Lewis studied at the King Edward VI Grammar School and then attended the University of Manchester to obtain a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. He then worked as technology scientist and freelance science journalist from 2006 to 2010. In the year 2000, he won ‘The Daily Telegraph Young Science Writer Award’ for his article titled ‘Breathe Slowly and Keep Asthma at Bay’. Coming to his love life, he dated YouTuber Hannah Rutherford in 2013. However, the couple broke up in 2015. Right now, Brindley is single and is focussing on his career.
Lewis Brindley, along with his fellow mate Simon Lane, started their YouTube channel ‘Yogscast’ in 2008. He initially gained fame for sharing ‘World of Warcraft’ boss guides. Later on, he and his friend founded the podcast ‘YoGPoD’. This series featured hilarious chit chats and tales with occasional celebrity guests. In 2010, the duo uploaded a video on their channel in which they showed how to survive a night in the Minecraft world. This video formed the basis of one of their most popular serialised shows ‘The Shadow of Israphel’. After this ‘Yogscast’ started growing steadily and today, it has emerged as one of the largest YouTube channels in the UK with over 7 million subscribers and billions of views. The channel not only posts videos regarding games, but also other content like exceptional animations, live action pieces, tabletop games, and music videos.
