Lee Jong-hyuk was born on July 31, 1974 in Seoul, South Korea. He attended Seoul Institute of the Arts and studied theatre from there. As of now, Lee Jong-hyuk is married to Choi Eun-ae and has two kids Lee Tak-soo and Lee Joon-soo.

Personal Life

Lee Jong-hyuk first appeared in the 1998 movie ‘Shiri’ as a special agent. He then did the film ‘Attack the Gas Station’. In 2001, he became a part of the plays ‘The Threepenny Opera’ and ‘Blood Brothers’. After that, he performed in the play ‘Liar’. Lee Jong-hyuk then played Cha Jong-hoon in the flick ‘Once Upon a Time in High School’ in 2004. A year later, he acted in the movie ‘Mr. Socrates’ as well as in the drama series ‘Green Rose’. Soon after this, the actor performed in the films ‘A Dirty Carnival’, ‘Dark Forest’ and ‘A Good Day to Have an Affair’. Thereafter, he was cast in the series ‘Dr. Kkang’ and the play ‘Dracula’.


In 2008, he got featured in the movies ‘Miss Gold Digger’, ‘Radio Dayz’ and ‘Crush and Blush’. The following year, he did a cameo in the series ‘Temptation of an Angel’ and also acted in the theatrical play ‘Rain Man’. He was then offered the role of Kim Tae-ho in the drama ‘Marry Me, Please’. In 2011, the South Korean star appeared in the flick ‘Hindsight’ and in the series ‘Detectives in Trouble’ and ‘Vampire Prosecutor’. He also did the theatre project ‘200 Pounds Beauty’ that year.


After this, he did a cameo role in the series ‘Korean Peninsula’ and also performed in the play ‘Le Passe-Muraille’. Lee Jong-hyuk then acted in the dramas ‘Dating Agency: Cyrano’ and ‘Master's Sun’ in the year 2013. Around this time, he also appeared in the reality show ‘Dad! Where Are We Going?’ along with his son. A year later, he guest-starred in the series ‘Off to School’ and appeared in the play ‘Chicago’. After this, the South Korean actor was cast in the film ‘My Sister, the Pig Lady’ as well as in the dramas ‘Queen's Flower’ and ‘Bubble Gum’. Then he played Captain Kim Jin Seok in the drama series ‘Descendants of the Sun’ in 2016. The same year, he appeared as a contestant in the reality show ‘Battle Trip’.
