The Meteoric Rise to Stardom

Although Laz Alonso hasn’t been involved in any big controversy regarding him, he did make news for voicing out ‘politically incorrect’ opinions that received a lot of media scrutiny. His views on the Donald Sterling controversy gained him a lot of unwarranted attention. He tweeted his opinion as to how Sterling’s conversation with his girlfriend (which was deemed racist) was not meant that way by him. Though Alonso probably didn’t mean to come across as supporting a racist, the media used his words against him. He then clarified his stance by tweeting the fact that couples usually say things they don’t mean while angry, and that is what he meant. He clarified that he isn’t a facilitator of racism, and that his words were misinterpreted.
