Laurie David was born on March 22, 1958 in USA. Raised in a Jewish family, she went on to study at the Ohio University from where she got her degree in journalism in 1979. She got married to Larry David, the creator of the TV series ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm,’ in 1993 and had two daughters, Romy March and Cazzie Laurel. On July 19, 2007, she filed for divorce.

Personal Life

David started her career in the entertainment industry with the ‘David Letterman Show’ and served as its talent coordinator. After leaving this job, she began her management company and started representing comedy writers and comedians. She also started making comedy specials for Showtime, Fox Television, MTV and HBO. She then made the documentary films ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ and ‘Fed Up’. David also produced the show ‘Too Hot Not to Handle’ for HBO that showcased the effects of climate change in the USA. She even appeared in the environmental documentary series ‘Big Ideas for a Small Planet.’

Career

As an environmental activist, Laurie David has worked on several projects that aim at stopping climate change. She, along with Senator John McCain, founded the Stop Global Warming Virtual March. Besides this, she has produced many other projects to make people aware of the climate change. As a co-founder of The Detroit Project and as a trustee of Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), she has lead several campaigns urging auto-makers and Congress to make higher mileage cars and raise fuel efficiency standards respectively. In the year 2004, NRDC launched the David Family Environmental Action Center. This center works to protect the environment and features issues like global warming, everyday toxins, ocean pollution, and so on.

Career

In 2010, Laurie David got her book ‘The Family Dinner’ published. This book features recipes by Kirstin Uhrenholdt. It also includes rules for an effective dinner system, ideas for stimulating conversation, ways to include grandparents, and other innovative tips. The author has also launched a book titled ‘Stop Global Warming: The Solution Is You’ to address the issues of climate change and global warming, outlining tips for the general public.
