Laura Ann Lee was born on September 1, 1988, in Montgomery, Alabama, the USA. She was nicknamed “Larlar” in her childhood. She has an elder brother and an elder sister. Later, she moved to Los Angeles, California, to pursue her dreams in the glamour industry. She continues to live in Los Angeles with her husband Tyler, whom she featured in her video ‘The Husband Tag | Meet My Husband.’

Laura Ann Lee started her career as a medical assistant for a dermatologist in Alabama. She also worked as a preschool teacher before starting a career in YouTube. She created the YouTube channel Laura Lee on June 9, 2009, which has garnered 4.7 million subscribers and 460 million views, as of June 2018. She regularly posts videos on make-up tutorials, life hacks, product reviews, glam tutorials, and lifestyle tips on her channel.

One of her most popular videos is ‘15 Back to School Heatless Hairstyles’ which garnered 2.5 million views in just two months, and after two years, it had accumulated 14 million views. Her other popular videos ‘15 Heatless Hairstyles for Short hair Back To School’, ‘Truth or Dare, This is Insane’, and ‘Full Face Of Uyta Clearance Makeup, I was Shook!’ have crossed the one million mark.

She started her second channel Laura Lee Vlogs on March 31, 2015, which has amassed 400k subscribers and 9 million views, as of June 2018. Here she uploads videos on random topics from her daily life.

Laura has developed her own make-up brand, Laura Lee Los Angeles, and in October 2017, she launched her first eye shadow palette called ‘Cat's Pajamas’. She was featured in the September 2017 issue of ‘Today,’ where she promoted her band.

She often collaborates with other make-up brands for her videos. In 2016, she collaborated with make-up brand ‘Too Faced’ and with Violet Voss on an eye shadow palette. In April 2017, she created her own lipstick shade with MAC Cosmetics’ support. In the same year, she collaborated with Benefit Cosmetics on their Benefit Island Collection. Laura collaborated with fellow YouTuber Yasmin Torres for her video ‘No Mirror Makeup Challenge with BeautyyBird’.
