Kyra Smith was born on April 7, 2003, in the Netherlands. Very little information is available on her family. She has a twin sister named Hanna as well as a brother named Ilias.
Kyra Smith was chosen for a role in Nickelodeon’s comedy adventure series ‘Hunter Street.’ Created by Reint Schölvinck and Melle Runderkamp, the show premiered on March 11, 2017, and has aired two seasons to date. Smith portrays Anika Hunter, one of the five foster children whose foster parents go missing. The responsibility of finding out what happened to them now falls on the children’s’ shoulders.
The series also stars Stony Blyden as Max Hunter, Mae Mae Renfrow as Tess Hunter, Thomas Jansen as Daniel Hunter, and Daan Creyghton as Sal Hunter. Wilson Radjou-Pujalte and Kate Bensdorp joined the cast in season two, portraying Jake Hunter and Evie Hunter, respectively. The group’s foster parents, Eric and Kate Hunter, are portrayed by Ronald Top and Tooske Ragas, respectively. Produced by Blooming Media, ‘Hunter Street’ has been predominantly shot in Aalsmeer in the Netherlands, concurrently with ‘De Ludwigs’, the Dutch version of the show. After the success of the first season, the show was renewed for a second one, which premiered on January 29, 2018, and concluded on 23 February. Both seasons were comprised of 20 episodes each.
The episodes of ‘De Ludwigs’, which aims to cater to the Dutch audience, are about ten minutes long. However, as ‘Hunter Street’ has been made for the international audience, its episodes are about 22 minutes long. On July 27, 2018, the show was approved for a renewal for a third season, which is set to be comprised of 30 episodes.
Smith’s Anika Hunter is one of the main protagonists of the show. She is considered the “little sister” by other foster children as she was the youngest in the group until Evie joined them in season two. She is empowered by a very active imagination. While that sets her apart from the rest of the group, it has also often gotten her into trouble. She can be regarded as the most outgoing person among them and also the most talkative. She feels that it is her responsibility to cheer others up and the rest of the group, in turn, believe that it is their obligation to do the same whenever she herself is feeling down. Of all the children, she has been with the Hunters for the longest time, having been fostered by them since when she was a child.
