Personal Life

When they were nine months old, the Tyndall sisters made their screen debut in the 1993 film ‘Heart and Souls,’ both portraying a character named Baby Thomas Reilly. One of the common norms in the entertainment industry is to cast twins in the roles of children. As children tend to be unpredictable, it is considered safe to have more than one actor playing the same role. In this project, they got to work with the likes of Robert Downey Jr., Charles Grodin, and Alfre Woodard. Their next screen appearance came about a year later, in the telefilm ‘Roseanne: An Unauthorized Biography’. After this, they worked in their first television series, NBC’s medical drama ‘ER’.

Kylie and her sister appeared in the 1995 drama ‘How to Make an American Quilt’, which also starred Winona Ryder, Anne Bancroft, Ellen Burstyn, Kate Nelligan, Alfre Woodard, and Maya Angelou. Their next film, the 1998 romantic fantasy, ‘City of Angels,’ was the first project they were credited for. They were cast in one more television film, the 1998 release ‘Little Girl Fly Away’, before opting for a five-year break from the entertainment industry.

In 2003, at the age of 10 or 11, they made their small-screen return in TLC’s children’s show ‘Animal Jam’. This was the first project in which they played different characters, who were credited simply as ‘The Twins’. That year, Kylie made her first screen appearance without her sister in ABC’s variety show ‘The Wayne Brady Show’. Kylie lent her voice to one of the aliens in the 2003 live-action/animated comedy film ‘Looney Tunes: Back in Action’. It was the third full-length film to feature real actors and Loony Tunes characters together, after ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit’ (1988) and ‘Space Jam’ (1996).

Kylie and Keaton were one of the various sets of identical twin child actors who played Steffy and her twin Phoebe. Both Kylie’s and Keaton’s performances were well-received and they were nominated for the Young Artist Award for "Best Performance in a Television Series/Recurring Young Actress". In April 2005, the roles of the Forrester twins were recast with Addison and Alex Hoover. Addison replaced Kyle as Steffy while Alex replaced Keaton as Phoebe.
