Kristina Wayborn entered the show business as a model at an early age. She was featured in a 1976 American television action film ‘Victory at Entebbe’ which was based on the actual Operation Entebbe, the raid on Entebbe Airport in Uganda in July 1976 to free the Israeli hostages. She was then featured in ‘The Love Boat’, an American television series set on a cruise ship, which was aired on ABC Network in 1977.

In the movie ‘The Silent Lovers’ (1980), she played the character of the iconic Swedish silent film actress, Greta Gabo. Cubby Broccoli, the producer of the James Bond films, spotted her in this role and decided to cast her in ‘Octopussy’.

In 1983, she was cast in the James Bond film ‘Octopussy’ as Magda. While shooting for a fight scene, she suffered several broken toes. Yet, she gave the film her best. The scene in which Magda beats up the guards of the villain Kamal Khan became a memorable one and earned her acclaim. According to critics, she was excellent as Magda, especially when she displayed her athletic prowess towards the end of the film.

In the 1980s, she played Dr. Greta Ingstrom in 56 episodes of ‘General Hospital’, an American TV series. She appeared in two episodes of Baywatch, the American action drama series about the Los Angeles County Lifeguards, who patrol the beaches of Los Angeles County. The show, which was canceled after its first season on NBC, later became one of the most watched television shows in the world.
