Kirsten Collins

Born on March 27, 1994, in Calgary, Canada, Kirsten Collins is the oldest of the four children of John and Stacey Collins. She has two brothers, Christian and Crawford, and one sister, Karisma. She has harbored a deep love for music since she was a child. She started singing on key even before she turned two. She performed her first solo song at the age of five, and a year after that, composed her first original song. She was home-schooled for the most part of her life. The family owned a small farm which had a bull, sixteen goats, and five chickens.

Kirsten first found fame in the fashion industry when she began competing in beauty peasants. When she was ten years old, she was crowned the Calgary Junior Idol. In 2012, she won the Miss Teen Calgary – World. She also competed in the Miss Teen Canada - World pageant.

When she was 14 years old, her parents encouraged her to move to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music. This was before she became a star on social media. The family relocated to Los Angeles along with her. They have spent the last nine years travelling between Los Angeles and Calgary.

A music prodigy, Kirsten received the full support of her parents. She grew up collaborating with her brother Christian. Her sister, Karisma, is a singer as well. One of her earliest singles, ‘Ready’ (I Don’t Think) was recorded when she was 14 years old. A year later, in 2009, she recorded ‘Alone’, which her parents uploaded on their channel in 2010.

After setting up her own channel, Kirsten uploaded her first video almost a year later. It was one of her collaborations with her brother, a song called ‘Best in Me’. In the ensuing years, she has posted covers as well as her original songs. The most popular video on her channel is ‘Iggy Azalea - Black Widow Cover | Kirsten Collins & Christian Collins (Weeklychris) C’ with 330 thousand views. As of September 2018, she has over 73 thousand subscribers and about 1.6 million total views on her channel.

She has been steadily releasing songs since 2012. The songs ‘Best in Me’, ‘Party Shoes’, ‘Could You Love Me Again’, ‘I Miss You’, ‘Beautiful Butterfly’, and ‘Alone’ were released in 2012. The single ‘Locked Away’ was put out in 2015. In 2016, she released ‘Piece by Piece’, ‘This Town’, ‘Closer’, and ‘My Grown Up Christmas List’. In the following year, she recorded ‘Sorry Not Sorry’, ‘Grown Men Cry’, ‘Remedy’, and ‘Signs’.

In 2018, she has put out ‘Rainbows’, ‘BAD’, ‘No Tears Left to Cry’, and ‘Meant To Be’. Her latest single, ‘Sugar Pop Cocaine’; was released on August 10, 2018.

She was featured in MC Mario’s single ‘Anti-Gravity’ in July 2015. In January 2017, Kirsten, Christian, and Karisma collaborated with fellow YouTube star Kurt Hugo Schneider on a Chainsmokers Mashup.
