Kiana grew up with a deep passion for music. Highly inspired by Britney Spears, Kiana would sing her songs, dance to her tracks, and copy her mannerisms. Soon, she began training in music. In 2011, Kiana’s mother shared a few videos of Kiana’s piano performances on 'Kidz Bop,' a website for children who excel in performing arts. Kiana was in her school’s sophomore year when she discovered the 'KIDZ Star USA' competition and was immediately allured by its first prize, which was a recording contract with 'RCA Records.' Kiana’s soulful rendition of the track 'Someone Like You' by Adele earned her a spot among the top ten contestants. With some more incredible performances, Kiana reached the finals. She sang Leona Lewis's 'Bleeding Love' in the grand finale held in New York. With over two million votes, Kiana was declared the winner of the competition. The victory was announced by 'American Idol' winner and 'Talent Search' judge Kris Allen during a surprise ‘Mountain Pointe’ school assembly. She was awarded a recording contract with 'RCA Records' and a chance to play the lead in a 'Kidz Bop 21' music video and TV commercial. Kiana got her music career breakthrough in 2012. She was given a choice of three songs, of which she selected 'Hey Chica.' The track later became her debut single. The upbeat track is dedicated to women empowerment and encourages self-love. The track was an instant hit, and Kiana became a star. She performed the song on ‘NBC’s 'The Today Show' and at the 86th 'Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.' She wrote the song after a terrible break-up, which motivated her to infuse a feeling of empowerment into the song. The video of the track was shot in New Orleans. Her latest song is the single 'Big Spender,' featuring Prince Charlez, from the 2018 romantic thriller 'Fifty Shades Freed.'
