Kelly Nash was born on 22 October, 1990 in South Carolina, USA. Although she hasn’t disclosed much about her childhood, she has hinted in some of her interviews that she was always interested in sports.
Kelly Nash is active on various social media platforms through which she stays connected with her fans. However, she has managed to keep her private life away from media and public.
As a kid, she used to follow the coverage of almost all major sporting events that took place in the USA.
She also attended many sports events along with her father and was fascinated by them all. During her early teenage years, she decided to make a career in sports broadcasting. Since she wasn’t a gifted athlete, building a career in sports broadcasting was the second best option available to her.
After finishing her high school, she got enrolled at the Clemson University in South Carolina, where she got her bachelor’s degree in Youth Development Leadership. She then attended University of Miami to earn a master’s degree in broadcast journalism. She then went out in search of a perfect place in order to start her professional training.
Before embarking on a career in sports broadcasting, Kelly Nash joined ACC Networks as a production assistant. She was first taken in as an intern but quickly landed a job in the company. The experience of working in a sports broadcasting network was something new to her, but she relished every moment of it.
At ACC, she covered a pre-game show called ‘ACC Kickoff’ which was aired on Saturdays. In the show, she presented sports related news and even took care of interviews. She went on to appear on ‘ACC NOW’, another show that was aired on the network. She worked for ACC from 2011 to 2013 and gained enough experience. Thanks to her hard work, she was later approached by much bigger and better networks.
In 2014, she joined Fox Sports Florida. There she was given the responsibility of covering the news and stories related to some of the most famous baseball teams, such as ‘Tampa Bay Rays’ and Tampa Bay Lightning’. She was then made to work as a sideline reporter, something that she wasn’t happy about. Hence, she moved on to Fox Sports Sun, where she worked for quite some time.
Her biggest career break came in 2015 when she joined the MLB Network as a host. This was the biggest turning point in her professional career as there was a dramatic rise in her popularity. She also became a co-host for the daily show, ‘The Rundown’. She continues to work for MLB and NHL networks and is enjoying every bit of it.
