Kelly Jean Killoren was born in Rockford, Illinois, in the US on 1st May 1968. Not much is known regarding her early life or parents. She briefly studied at Trinity College, though she left after a year. She later graduated from the Columbia University’s School of General Studies in 1998. She is now earning an MBA from the Northeastern University.
She was previously married to fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon from 1997 to 2007. The couple has two daughters named Thadeus Ann Bensimon and Sea Louise Bensimon.
She is currently dating Alejandro Lorenzo.
Kelly Jean Killoren’s modeling career began when she was a teenager. She modeled for magazines like ‘Elle,’ ‘Cosmopolitan,’ ‘Harper’s Bazaar’ and ‘Gotham Magazine.’ She soon became the founding editor of ‘Elle Accessories’ magazine, though she quit after two issues. Later she authored books such as ‘In the Spirit of the Hamptons’, ‘American Style’ and ‘The Bikini Book’. She also wrote a column called ‘The Socializer: Kelly Killoren Bensimon’ for ‘Page Six Magazine.’ Currently, she is a style columnist for ‘AM New York’ as well.
She served as a host at the IMG fashion week and the IMG swim shows held in Miami. She also served as a spokesperson for Wool in 2006. The next year, she served as an ‘ambassador’ for the Spring 2007 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
In 2010, she appeared on the cover of the ‘Playboy Magazine.’ She was photographed by Gilles Bensimon, her ex-husband. The next year, she was on the cover of ‘Shape’ magazine, and later, ‘Avenue’ magazine. She was also seen on the 2012 cover of the ‘New York Family’.
She appeared in three seasons of ‘The Real Housewives of New York City,’ a reality TV series that premiered on the Bravo Network. The show turned out to be a success and led to multiple spin-offs.
