Kellita Smith began her career in the entertainment industry as a model before she started performing on stage. Her theatrical works include ‘Tell It Like It Tiz’, ‘Feelings’, ‘No Place to be Somebody’, ‘The Thirteenth Thorn’ and ‘One Woman Two Lives’. She made her TV debut in 1993 through an episode of ‘In Living Color’. The following year, she was cast as Tracy for the series ‘Martin’ after which she had a recurring role in ‘Sister, Sister’. In 1995, Smith appeared on the big screen, in the film ‘The Crossing Guard’.
