Kayla Jones was born on May 10, 1997 in Jackson, Mississippi to Terrell Vaughn and Tina Jones. She was just two when she put on her dancing shoes and has been performing since then. This passion for dancing has seen Jones rise up to meteoric heights but she did not give up on her education to pursue dance. In fact, Jones continued her education and graduated from Callaway High School. Talking about her relationship status, Jones is currently rumoured to be committed to a guy named Mo. Besides his name, nothing much is known about Mo.
Kayla Jones is definitely one amongst those born to dance! This wonder girl was only two when she started dancing. As insanely impossible as it may seem to be, it is true! When toddlers of her age were merely learning to walk and run properly, Jones had her dancing shoes on and was immersing herself in the art form. Though she has tried several genres of dancing, hip hop and Majorette remain her favourite till date. These styles not only suit her personality and body type but are also the most comfortable for her. Jones is not comfortable with Lyrical and Jazz funk and doesn’t have fun while dancing in these dance forms.
In February 2008, Jones joined Dancing Dolls, a Jackson-area dance team founded by Dianna Williams in 2001. Jones’ brilliance as a dancer earned her high appreciation from her peers and seniors as she soon progressed to become the captain of her team. She served as a captain for Season 1 and 2 of Dancing Dolls. Currently, she serves as the Assistant Coach of Dancing Dolls. From 2008 to 2014, Jones had been crowned the grand champion at the Bay Area Battle for seven years in a row. In addition to her journey in Dancing Dolls, Jones is one of the four dancers featured on the Lifetime series ‘Bring It!’ It is a reality series that documents the team’s journey as it prepares for competitions.
