Kathryn Erbe

Kathryn Erbe was born as Kathryn Elsbeth Erbe on July 5, 1965 in Newton, Massachusetts, USA, to Elsbeth and Richard Erbe. She has a brother named Jonathan and a sister named Jennifer. She attended New York University (NYU) and graduated from there in 1989. The actress was married to American actor Terry Kinney from 1993 to 2006. The couple has two kids: son Carson Lincoln and daughter Maeve.

Kathryn Erbe first starred as Patricia Reece in the 1989 drama series ‘Chicken Soup’. In the ensuing years, she appeared in numerous movies and TV films, such as ‘What About Bob’, ‘Rich in Love’, ‘D2: The Mighty Ducks’, ‘Breathing Lessons’, ‘The Addiction’, ‘Kiss of Death’ and ‘Dream with the Fishes’ and also acted in various plays like 'The Grapes of Wrath', 'The Speed of Darkness' and 'A Month in the Country'.

The actress was then cast for the projects ‘Love from Ground Zero’ and ‘Naked City: Justice with a Bullet’ in 1998. That year, she also began playing Shirley Bellinger in ‘Oz’. Soon after this, Erbe had roles in the films ‘Entropy’ and ‘Stir of Echoes’. She next joined the cast of ‘Law & Order: Criminal Intent’ as Det. Alexandra Eames, a role she played until 2011. During this time, the American actress also got featured in the films and short films ‘3 Backyards’, ‘Mother's House’ and ‘The Love Guide’.

During 2012 and 2013, she made guest appearances in ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’. After this, Erbe did the flick ‘Worst Friends’ in 2014. That year, she also appeared in an episode of ‘Last Week Tonight with John Oliver’. After doing the movie ‘Mistress America’ in 2015, she appeared in the TV programs ‘Elementary’, ‘Conviction’, ‘How to Get Away with Murder’ and ‘The Sinner’.
