Karrueche Tran

Karrueche began working as a personal shopper in the fashion industry from 2009 to 2012. Her work involved retail sales at the Nordstrom located at the Westfield Topanga Mall in Canoga Park, CA. She also worked as a freelance stylist in Hollywood, where she came into contact with the world of glamour and celebrities.

Her success in the fashion industry is attributed to her aesthetic sense and ability to anticipate trends. She has always been proactive and pioneered in her work to be original in whatever she has put her hand to.

Besides just being the girlfriend of Chris Brown, Karrueche wanted an identity of her own, which prompted her to put out her resume as an actor and model. From 2013 to 2016, she appeared as Vivian Johnson in the Emmy award winning web series ‘The Bay The Series’.

She also started her modelling career by initially participating in photo shoots for local brands to gain experience. She soon became the face of Lady Crooks, the women’s division under the street wear brand Crooks & Castles for their summer collection of 2013. She even opened her own clothing line called ‘The Kill’ which became popular among celebrities.

In 2014, she appeared in volume one of celebrity photographer Mike Miller’s coffee table book ‘Love West Coast Girls’. She was also given the honour of hosting the BET Awards red carpet event the same year. Her TV movie, ‘The Fright Nite Flies’ was released in 2015 and she featured in the Spring / Summer lookbook for French based athletic brand Le Coq Sportif.

Karrueche was born in Los Angeles, California on May 17, 1988. Her mother, Cindy Adamson, is a Vietnamese national while her father, DeVon Minters, is Jamaican. She has a brother named Raymond Adamson.

Tran started attending high school at Fairfax High School and later switched to Birmingham High School, from where she graduated.

Karrueche Tran began dating R&B singer Chris Brown in 2010 and the couple went steady for a few years but their relationship broke after Chris Brown started dating Rihanna. The relationship went really sour with Karrueche accusing Brown of violence due to which there is a restraining order in effect to protect Trans and her family from Chris Brown, until the issue is settled.

Meanwhile, she is rumoured to be dating Quavo from the hip hop trio, ‘Migos’. Besides her celebrity status, she has given back to society through charity and philanthropic endeavours that she attributes to her roots.
