Karma Bridges

Karma Bridges was born in Georgia, USA, on August 10, 2001. She is the first-born daughter of actor and rapper Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges. Her mother is attorney Christine White. Even though her biological parents separated when she was very young, both parents played equal roles in bringing her up. Her grandparents are Roberta Shields and Wayne Brian Bridges. She has two half-sisters Cai Bella Bridges (born December 2013) and Cadence Gaelle Bridges (born 2015).

Karma gained fame after first attending the premiere of the movie, ‘Fred Claus’ ,with Ludacris. She was only five years old then. Her father tried to protect his daughter from the intrusive eyes of media to maintain her privacy and security. But music talent seems to be in her genes. Karma started showing signs of creativity from a very young age. She first appeared in Ludacris’s song ‘Tell It Like It Is’. Then at the age of only ten, Bridges along with Project S.L.I.D.E. performed as the opening act for Diggy Simmons. This was a turning point in her young career because it proved that she was a talented artist in her own right.

She made her foray into Instagram in 2014, posting an her childhood photograph in which she was with her mother. Getting a ringing endorsement online, from her father, she started gaining more and more followers. Some of them migrated from Ludacris’ social media fan base. Since then, under the watchful eyes of her father, Karma Bridges started posting pictures of her daily lifestyle, school, friends, and travels. Her account received a massive boost when, in March 2015, she posted a picture with basketball legend Steph Curry.

With an Instagram fan following of around a million, it seems that people like her humble nature and real, relatable lifestyle in spite of being a celebrity kid. Besides, having selfies with A-list celebrities like Kris Jenner and Justin Bieber doesn’t hurt either. However, the most liked images on her account are usually the ones with her family. On June 19, 2017, she dedicated a post entitled “Happy Father's Day to my greatest inspiration”, with a throwback image of her with Ludacris. It received more than 18k likes. Karma Bridges followed it up the next year on Father’s day with a similar image featuring her father and grandfather. She also often posts pictures with her sisters Cai Bella and Cadence Gaelle. Although she posts much less than her dad, her popularity on Instagram is on the rise.

Besides being an Instagram sensation, the talented young African-American woman is also a budding entrepreneur. She came up with the website ‘Karma’s World’ along with her father at the tender age of 10. She personally describes the website as a place where kids can get away from conventional learning techniques. Instead, the focus is given on imparting knowledge through educational songs, games, and activities. With more and more avenues opening up as she strives to complete her education the future looks bright for Karma Bridges. Karma Bridges found herself in a tight spot in August 2014, while flying to New York with her father, from Atlanta. While Ludacris flew away to New York, Karma was stuck in the airport because Delta airlines had the rule that children under the age of 15 cannot fly without adult supervision. She was only 13 years old. Ludacris was obviously angry with the situation and had no idea about the rule. It was reported later that he immediately flew back and took her back home.
