Kang Ye-won first appeared as a lead in the musical ‘Carmen’ in 2000. She then did the TV series ‘Who's My Love’ and ‘Five Brothers and Sisters’ in 2002. During the same year, she also acted in the movies ‘Sex of Magic’ and ‘Addicted’. After this, the actress was cast for the drama ‘My 19 Year Old Sister-in-Law’. From 2007 to 2011, she did a handful of films including ‘Miracle on 1st Street’, ‘Haeundae’, ‘Harmony’, ‘Hello Ghost’ and ‘Quick’.

Kang Ye-won then went on feature as a guest in the 3rd season of ‘Happy Together’ as well as the 2nd season of ‘2 Days & 1 Night’. In 2014, she played the roles of Hong-Dan and Park Eun-Jin in the movies ‘The Huntresses’ and ‘My Ordinary Love Story’ respectively. The same year, she played Yoo Mi-Young in the drama ‘Bad Guys’. Soon after this, the South Korean star did the flick ‘Love Clinic’. She then became a part of many variety shows in 2015, including ‘Real Men: Female Soldier Special’, ‘Radio Star’, ‘Happy Together’, ‘Please Take Care of My Refrigerator’, ‘We Got Married’, ‘Witch Hunt’ and ‘Live Talk Show Taxi’.

In 2017, she appeared as Jang Young-Shil in the movie ‘Part-Time Spy’ and as Lee Ji-Young "A" in the series ‘Man Who Dies to Live’. The actress also joined the cast of ‘Sister's Slam Dunk’ for its 2nd season.
