Kailyn Rae Lowry was born on March 14, 1992 in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. She shares a rocky relationship with her mother Suzi Irwin, even though they meet often. After she gave birth to Isaac, her mother sometimes helped her by watching over the baby. She earned her bachelor's degree in Mass Communications from Delaware State University in May 2017.
Kailyn Lowry, who became pregnant with Rivera's child as a teenager, did not receive any assistance from her own family, which prompted her to sign a deal with MTV to star in its reality TV show '16 and Pregnant' in 2010 and then 'Teen Mom 2' in early 2011. Kailyn's stint on reality television has been marked by gossips and controversies that kept her on the news throughout the years. According to her, she is the most bullied person on the 'Teen Mom' franchise, partly because she is outspoken, is often misunderstood, and the fact that all of her three children have different fathers.
Kailyn Lowry, while still studying in middle school, had become involved in a relationship with a boy who pressurized her to have sex when she was in the eighth grade, which resulted in her pregnancy at the age of 15. Her family put pressure on her to have an abortion by the time she was 16, which pushed her towards deep depression. She again found love with Jo Rivera, in 2009, and became pregnant again at the age of 17. This time she was determined to keep the child even though her own family did not support her in her decision.
With help from Rivera's family, they welcomed son Isaac Elliot Rivera on January 18, 2010. She subsequently appeared on the MTV reality show '16 and Pregnant' with Rivera in 2010. However, after she began suspecting that Jo was cheating on her, it led to constant fights and their eventual separation. She stayed at his New Jersey home till he discovered that she was dating her Sports Authority coworker Jordan Wenner. She then signed up for a program that helped young single mothers find homes, but had to spend days in their shelter to qualify. She reportedly cheated on Wenner with Rivera, but he was willing to forgive her and give the relationship another try. However, in late 2011, she met with Javi Marroquin, her future husband, while working at the store Buckle at a mall. She mistook his elder brother to be his father, which started off a funny conversation, following which he asked her out on a date, but she declined. Nevertheless, the two continued to meet at the store and communicated via Twitter, before she eventually gave him her number.
After about nine months of dating, Javi Marroquin proposed to her with a ring, and the two got married in a Pennsylvania courthouse within a few days. Marroquin soon left for Air Force training in Texas, but the two hosted an elaborate celebration at Adventure Aquarium in Camden, New Joursey, in September 2013, when she was seven months pregnant with their baby. She gave birth to their son, Lincoln Marshall, on November 16, 2013. However, the relationship started to fall apart due to Marroquin's trust issues, especially after she miscarried their second child, Ariella Noelle, in 2015. The two finally divorced when he went overseas for six months in early 2016. They appeared on 'Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars' after his return, but the relationship was too damaged, even though they later talked about the possibility of a reunion in 'Coffee Convos' podcast in January 2018. By that time, she had given birth to her third child, Lux Russell, with longtime friend Chris Lopez, while Marroquin was dating fellow 'Teen Mom 2' costar Briana DeJesus. In late May 2018, she introduced her longtime friend and new girlfriend Dominique Potter on an episode of 'Teen Mom 2', even though she later insisted on Twitter that she is single.
