While Donald Jr. and Vanessa were playing hosts of an Operation Smile event, Vanessa broke her water but continued with the event maintaining a smiling face for over an hour. Thereafter, she was taken to the hospital where she delivered healthy Kai weighing 6lb and 12oz following a labour of around 21 hours.

Kai’s grandmother Ivana Trump, the first wife of Donald Trump, was elated with the news of becoming a grandmother for the first time and told the ‘Daily News’, "Now I am a grandma," and furthered it by saying "What a great Mother's Day present!"
