He was in a relationship with Drew Barrrymore but the unison did not last long and the two parted ways in 2008.
They re-united temporarily in 2009 but split yet again in 2010.
In 2013, it has been reported that he is dating actress Amanda Seyfried.
Justin Long was the second of the three children born to Raymond James Long and Wendy Lesniak. He had two brothers, one elder and the other younger.
While his father serves as a professor of philosophy and Latin at Fairfield University, his mother is a former actress.
Raised as a Roman Catholic, he attended the the Jesuit school, Fairfield College Preparatory School to complete his formal education. Later on, he enrolled at the Vassar College.
It was while in college that he served as the member of the sketch comedy group, Laughingstock. Furthermore, he starred in various plays such as ‘Butterflies Are Free’
Completing education, he took up the profile of an acting instructor/counsellor for children’s theatre group at the Sacred Heart University.
He made his debut in 1999 with the film ‘Galaxy Quest’, playing the role of a geek which was highly admired by both critics and the audience. The following year, he was cast in the dramedy ‘Ed’ as an awkward adolescent, Warren Cheswick. The series aired on NBC was a major hit and continued for four years.
From 2001 to 2003, he appeared in three movies, ‘Jeepers Creepers’, ‘Happy Campers’, ‘Crossroads’ and a sequel of ‘Jeepers Creepers 2’.
In 2004, he was cast in four movies, ‘Raising Genius’, ‘DodgeBall: A True Underdog Story’ and ‘Wake Up, Ron Burgundy: The Lost Movie’. Additionally, he was seen playing a voice role in the film ‘Hair High’.
The following year, he made an appearance in a short film, ‘Robin’s Big Date’. Additionally, he was seen in two other flicks, ‘Waiting..’ and ‘Herbie: Fully Loaded’.
Ever since making an appearance with John Hodgman in the TV commercial for Apple's ‘Get a Mac’ advertising campaign, he is popularly known as the Mac Man.
