Julianna Rose Mauriello

Born in a family with a background of performing arts, Julianna was attracted to it a very young age. She appeared as a child in a party scene of the Nutcracker at SUNY purchase.

In 2002, she made her stage debut after getting contact with her first agent, Nancy Carson. Her first role was of Lil Titch in the revival of a Rodgers & Hammerstein classic, Oklahoma! After that, she played Gypsy: A musical fable with Bernadette Peters. She also was an understudy for Baby June, A Tree grows in Brooklyn, etc. She also acted in some TV commercials and special films. She worked with Volvo, Wendy’s, AstraZeneca (Nexium), Disney Entertainment and others.

She got the role of Stephanie in the Nickelodeon series made for children. The girl was originally cast declined to work for the series and that is how Julianna got lucky and received her breakthrough.

After moving to Iceland for her shoots, she worked as the presenter for the Iceland’s EDDA Awards. She made appearances in broadcasts and presentations in around 70 countries and 5 continents.

She was a part of an educational film made in 2006. It was named Hip Hop Kids: Hip- Hop Homeroom: Math. She also acted in the 2008 film A Fix.

Julianna has a dream to work in the movies as a lead actress someday. This shows her aspiring attitude. She studies over 5 different dance styles including ballet, jazz, Irish step dancing, tap, and tumbling.

She has trained as a professional singer and made some contributions in the field of fashion designing.

She played Stephanie whose character was around 9 years younger than herself, for which role she learned Icelandic.

In one of her interviews she advised young kids to make wise and good choices and not submit to the peer pressure and to excel in the things you love.

Julianna believes in being healthy and safe and that when you like doing something, you can be great at it. These great thoughts at a young age show her maturity to look at things. Thus, maturity and her various talents make her so special.

Julianna was born in Irvington, NY. She has an elder sister, Alex who also is an actress. Seeing her sister perform inspired her to start learning performing arts. As a result, she started attending the Ney York City’s Performing Arts School. She later shifted to Manhattan with her family. She loves dancing and studies ballet, tap, jazz, tumbling and Irish step dancing. Her favorite rock band is U2. Her coworkers at the Lazytown sets bought her Audrey, her pet dog. She knows English and Icelandic. She is addicted to buying purses and bags. She has an Irish, Italian and German ancestry. She loves The Simpsons. She likes to spend most of her time with her family.
