Juice attended the ‘Homewood-Flossmoor High School’ for his early education. As his mother was very religious and conservative, Juice was not allowed to listen to hi-hop music. His first exposure to rock music was through video games like ‘Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater,’ and ‘Guitar Hero.’ At the age of 4, Juice learned to play the piano. Later, he took guitar and drums lessons too. He also played trumpet for his band class. As a teenager, Juice was addicted to drugs. He also smoked cigarettes. Later, his deteriorating health forced him to quit these habits.

Juice WRLD developed an interest in rock and pop music, after listening to bands, such as ‘Black Sabbath,’ ‘Blink 182,’ and ‘Panic at the Disco.’ During his freshman year at high school, he started working on polishing his musical talent. When Juice was in his sophomore year, he started considering rap music as a career option.

In 2015, Juice WRLD released his first track, ‘Forever,’ on ‘Soundcloud.’ He used the name, ‘JuicetheKidd,’ for his initial tracks. They were recorded on his mobile phone. Later, Juice changed his stage name to ‘Juice WRLD.’ It was a tribute to late American rapper Tupac Shakur. Juice felt that ‘WRLD’ represented taking over the world. In January 2016, Juice released his first project, ‘Juiced Up The EP.’ It has singles, such as ‘Too Smooth,’ and ‘Runnaway Freestyle.’

In 2017, Juice released the track, ‘Too Much Cash.’ He joined the internet collective, ‘Internet Money.’ On June 15, 2017, Juice released his first full-length EP, ‘999.’ It featured his song, ‘Lucid Dreams,’ which had more than 2.5 million plays on ‘Soundcloud.’

In December 2017, Juice released a three-song EP, ‘Nothings Different.’ It featured hip-hop songs, such as ‘All Girls are the Same,’ and ‘Lyrical Lemonade.’ ‘All Girls are the Same,’ was a highly popular track, and was received well, by critics and admirers. It was designated as the ‘Best New Music,’ by the ‘Pitchfork.’ The song entered the ‘Billboard’ chart, and debuted at number 92, on the ‘Billboard Hot 100.’ Following the success of these songs, Juice signed with the music company, ‘Interscope Records,’ for $3,000,000.

His song, ’Lucid Dreams,’ debuted at number 74, on the ‘Billboard Hot 100.’ In May 2018, he released ‘Lucid Dreams’ as a single, with a video. It reached the number 3 spot on the ‘Billboard’ chart, and became one of the most streamed songs of 2018.
