Josh was born on April 21, 1998 in Seattle, Washington. Before discovering his passion for making films and narrating stories, Josh’s only hobby was baking.
Josh suffers from ‘Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder’ (ADHD). Interestingly, the main character from his short film ‘Minimum Max’ also suffers from ADHD. Josh managed to overcome his condition by turning his attention towards filmmaking.
Josh was 13 years old when he shot his first short film ‘Minimum Max.’ The film was about a boy named Max, who suffers from ADHD. As soon as it was released, the movie went viral on YouTube and other social media platforms.
His short film managed to gather more than half a million views on the internet, making Josh a celebrity in no time. ‘Minimum Max’ also received great reviews from critics. It was eventually selected and screened at more than 20 film festivals. The film's popularity increased when ‘Huffington Post’ published an article about it.
After the release of his first short film, Josh focused on promoting events and shows for ‘MTV.’ He promoted many important events, including the 2015 ‘MTV Movie Awards.’ At the age of 15, he released his second short film titled ‘Two and a Quarter.’ That was when ‘MTV’ and a YouTube community realized his potential and soon Josh received the support that he needed.
Apart from being screened at various international film festivals, Josh’s film ‘Two and a Quarter’ won a handful of awards. It won the prestigious ‘Audience Award’ at ‘All American High School Film Festival,’ in 2014. The movie was also showcased at the prestigious ‘Toronto International Film Festival.’
