Josh Gad was born as Joshua Ilan Gad on February 23, 1981 in Hollywood, Florida, USA. He has two brothers as well as a stepsister. He studied at NSU University School and graduated from there in 1999. There he won NFL National Tournament Championship for Original Oratory as well as NFL National Tournament Championship for Humorous Interpretation and Original Oratory. After this, he attended Carnegie Mellon College of Fine Arts, graduating in 2003 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Drama. Coming to the actor’s love life, he has been married to Ida Darvish since 2008. As of now, the couple has two daughters, Ava and Isabella Eve.

Josh Gad started his acting career in 2002 with the movie ‘Mary and Joe’. He then did some theater work by appearing in the musical comedy ‘The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee’ in 2005. The same year, he appeared in an episode of the TV series ‘ER’. From 2007 to 2008, Gad did the television series ‘Back to You’. Then he had a supporting role in the movie ‘21’ and a major role in the flick ‘The Rocker’. He also appeared in two episodes of ‘Numb3rs’ during that time.

After this, Gad did the television movies, namely ‘Waiting to Die’ and ‘No Heroics’ in 2009. The same year, he got featured in the show ‘The Daily Show with Jon Stewart’. Then in 2010, he had a voice role in the film ‘Marmaduke’. One year later, the American actor appeared in the TV series ‘Californication’.
