When Bratman was 16 years old, he got the first taste of success in his career. He was already active in the music industry and worked as an intern for several record companies in New York. After he graduated from high school, he enrolled at the Tulane University, in New Orleans, Louisiana, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in business management. During this period, he was employed at the American Sector record label and worked with several emerging artists.

Bratman’s knowledge of music and the ability to recognize talent drew the attention of Dallas Austin, a Grammy Award winning record producer, who hired him to run the A&R department of DARP Music in 1999. Under Bratman’s leadership, DARP became a highly successful company and he got the opportunity to work with the likes of Madonna, Michael Jackson, Boyz II Men, TLC, and Pink. After he relocated to Los Angeles, he got a job at UMG Soundtracks, which allowed him to assemble the soundtracks of several films, including ‘Bad Boys II’ and ‘Honey’. In recent years, he has collaborated with Azoff Music Management.
