Jon Cozart

Unlike other YouTubers or vloggers who post a string of videos before tasting stardom, Paint struck success early on when he uploaded the video ‘Harry Potter in 99 Seconds’ in 2011. The video was immensely lauded by viewers and went viral in a matter of time. Prior to this, he had uploaded his debut video ‘Share the Love—Original Ukelele’ in February 2010. In 2012, he garnered more limelight when he auditioned to be on ‘Glee.’ Though he did not make it to the show, he went far enough to make himself a household name. Coming back to posting videos, Paint’s March 2013 video ‘After Ever After’ became even more famous than his Harry Potter venture, thus augmenting his popularity by leaps and bounds. Soon after, he came up with a self-introduction video ‘ME ME ME’ that helped him gain 1 million subscribers. On August 22, 2013, Paint created another channel called Paintchips to upload vlogs and uploaded the first video on October 5, 2014. The channel currently has over 500,000 subscribers and gives him a platform to interact with his subscribers and reply to his fans. The same year, he uploaded a video ‘After Ever After 2’ which helped him reach 2 million subscribers soon enough. In August 2015, he initiated a one man-one hour show at the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland. He also conducted a show in London, England titled ‘Laughter Ever After’, during which he sang his classics and talked about his experiences as a YouTuber.

Jon Cozart was born on April 26, 1992 in Little Rock, Arkansas in a bustling household with three siblings, two brothers and a sister. It was while studying in school that Cozart started his tryst as a YouTuber and vlogger. In the midst of his YouTube career, he enrolled at the University of Texas in Austin for a degree in films. Though it became difficult for him to balance his studies and YouTube work, he strived to strike a balance and continued to post videos every month. He was once in a relationship with blogger Shannon Barry.
