John Easterling

John Easterling was born on April 10, 1952 in the USA. He attended University of North Carolina and earned a degree in environmental sciences from there.

In 2009, Easterling and Newton-John bought a house in Jupiter Island, Florida for about $4.1 million. This house became a scene of suicide in 2013 when a man named Christopher Pariseleti shot himself while doing repairs in the house. The couple sold the house for $5 million in 2016.

After graduation, John Easterling applied for the Peace Corps. However, he eventually left the corps and travelled to South America instead, in search of adventure. He was soon trading in rare minerals and stones, such as roses, mountain crystals, opals, etc. His first real excavation took place a few years after the first voyage. He found some Columbus pre-art works and textiles which were later sold to museums and collectors.

In 1980, Easterling suffered from hepatitis and was near death. After recovering, he started working again. In the year 1990, he was riding a motor canoe along a stream when he began to feel ill. Thus, he turned back. Although fully exhausted, Easterling still managed to reach a small village but collapsed there upon reaching. Fortunately, the tribe living in the village was friendly to him. Easterling stayed in the village for about three days during which the villagers nursed him back to health. Among other things, they served him a special herbal tea. After taking the tea regularly, his condition improved significantly. His chronic physical pain and mental tiredness diminished to a considerable extent. He then realized that precious herbs were the real treasure.

Soon Easterling became acquainted with Dr. Nicole Maxwell, a scientist who had been searching for Amazon herbs for over forty years. He joined him in the journey and their collaboration resulted in the foundation of Amazon Herb Company in the year 1990. With its headquarters in the city of Jupiter, Florida, the company also owns plantations in the Amazon region. It deals in the production and marketing of herbs, cosmetics, and products made from herbs. The company respects the rules and laws of nature conservation and sustainable development. In 2012, Amazon Herb Company merged with an Arizona-based international wellness company called TriVita.

John Easterling and Olivia Newton-John knew each other for around 15 years before they eventually began dating. Soon after they entered in a relationship, the couple tied the knot twice within a month. On June 21, 2008, they married on a mountain top in Peru. Nine days later, they exchanged vows once again on a beach in Florida to make their union legal.

According to Olivia Newton-John, Easterling supported her when she was suffering from breast cancer. He entered her life after her then-boyfriend Patrick Mc Dermott went missing in the year 2005 during a fishing trip.

John Easterling and his wife went to Budapest in March 2010 to promote their products including the new Zamu health drink. Their second visit took place in October 2010, when Easterling accompanied his wife to the anti-cancer lantern walk.

Currently, John Easterling and Olivia Newton-John live in Jupiter, Florida, near the popular lighthouse. Both spend a lot of their time on travels, environmental protection, and nature conservation.

On October 12, 2011 John Easterling and his wife Olivia Newton-John jointly received the SAFE Water Award for their efforts to preserve Amazon's purity. On October 12, 2012, they were awarded with the ACEER Legacy Award for their efforts to preserve Amazon rainforests and for supporting environmental protection.
