John David Washington first appeared on the big screen in the 1992 movie ‘Malcolm X’ when he was eight years old. Then in 2010, he once again returned to the industry to co-produce the flick ‘The Book of Eli’. In 2015, the actor cum former footballer was cast as Ricky Jerret in the HBO comedy program ‘Ballers’. The following year, Washington appeared in the film ‘Coco’. This was followed by his appearance in the 2017 movie ‘Monster’.

John David Washington had a very successful football career at Morehouse College. There he set a record with 1,198 yards with nine touchdowns and a 5.6-yard average and added 10 receptions for 69 yards in his senior year. In the year 2005, D2Football.com honoured him with the title of ‘National Player of the Week’. The following year, he signed a contract with St. Louis Rams and joined them as an undrafted free agent. Washington then played in the NFL Europa for Rhein Fire. After this, he was chosen to play for California Redwoods (later changed to Sacramento Mountain Lions) of United Football League in 2009’s UFL Premiere Season Draft. Washington stayed with the Mountain Lions and then returned for the fourth season in the year 2012.
