Joey Bizinger created his channel ‘The Anime Man’ on May 26, 2013. His initial videos were anime reviews. He then came out with plenty of general vlogs. Eventually, he started creating anime-style comedic videos. These videos were much liked by his audience. In March 2014, Bizinger began his weekly anime update series and developed numerous videos featuring anime-related current news and updates.

On November 9, 2014, he posted a video titled ‘10 Things You Shouldn’t Do in Japan’ in which he listed ten major differences between the Japanese culture and the Western culture. The vlog became an instant hit and went on to earn more than 2.5 million views (as of November 2018). He maintained the momentum by posting more such videos and attracted thousands of new subscribers to his channel every day. With time, Bizinger became one of the most popular anime content developers on YouTube.
