Jessalynn Siwa

Jessalynn is a talented dancer and has worked for years as a dance teacher and instructor. She owned the ‘Underground Dance Factory’ and also ran the ‘Just Dance Co.’ In pursuit of turning her dreams into reality through her daughter, she left no stone unturned to see that her daughter does not miss any opportunity to advance in her dancing career. On the other hand, JoJo, who performed her first solo at just two years of age, proved that she does have that star quality in her even at such tender age.

After a few years, Jessalynn took JoJo to participate in the American dance reality competition series ‘Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition’, where JoJo was introduced in the second season that premiered on September 3, 2013. There the duo couldn’t find place in the good books of many other participants as well as Abby Lee Miller, an American dance instructor, choreographer, director and proprietor of ‘Reign Dance Productions’ and most importantly the founder and one of the judges of the ‘Abby Lee Dance Company’, because of their so called “loud” personalities. Their rivals in the competition named Jessalynn and JoJo’s act as “The Jessalynn and JoJo Circus”. However, Jessalynn didn’t shy away to speak her mind in the competition and mentioned "I would say it's my mission in life to make JoJo a star." JoJo got eliminated from the competition in the season’s tenth episode ‘Divas in the House’ that was aired on November 5, 2013 thus slipping away from becoming one of the four finalists. Jessalynn then took JoJo to the Orlando audition of ‘Abby Strikes Back’, the third episode of the fourth season of the unscripted American reality TV series ‘Dance Moms’ which was first featured on January 14, 2014. The fifth season of the series saw mother and daughter joining ‘Abby Lee Dance Company’ as guests in the season’s third episode ‘JoJo with a Bow Bow’ that was aired on January 20, 2015. Jessalynn meanwhile began to promote JoJo through her YouTube channel and Twitter account. After performing as guest dancer in the next few episodes, JoJo and Jessalynn were inducted as full-time members of the elite team and they continued till the second half of the sixth season leaving the series after Jessalynn’s little daughter signed a consumer deal with ‘Nickelodeon’.

Jessalynn featured in a few music videos including in the August 4, 2015, released song ‘Slay’ by Nia Sioux and Coco Jones; and in the May 2016 released digital single ‘Boomerang’ by JoJo. She has also garnered popularity in social media having over 69k subscribers on YouTube, around 1.2 million followers on Instagram and over 99K followers on Twitter. Jessalynn Siwa was born on December 8, 1974, in Iowa, US. Her father worked in a waste manufacturing organisation while her mother, Kathy, was a hair designer. She is married and blessed with two children, a son, Jayden, born on May 20, 2000 and daughter, JoJo, born on May 19, 2003. So amazing to see it live !!!#hairspraylive ????
