From 1992 to 1997, Jason Priestley was in a live-in relationship with actress Christine Elise.
On May 14, 2005, the actor got married to make-up artist Naomi Lowde. Two years later, the couple had their daughter, Ava Veronica. On July 9, 2009, Lowde gave birth to their second child, a son who was later named Dashiell Orson.
In 2007, Priestley received his American citizenship.
Jason Priestley was born as Jason Bradford Priestley on August 28, 1969 in British Columbia, Canada. He is the son of Canadian actress Sharon Kirk. He has a twin sister named Justine Priestley who is an actress. Priestley also has two step-siblings: Kristi and Karin.
He attended Argyle Secondary School and later on enrolled in a high school located in Ladner, British Columbia.
Jason Priestley began his television career doing advertisements for companies such as Fletcher's Meats. He then appeared in an episode of the series ‘Airwolf’ as well as two episodes of ‘Jump Street’.
He starred as Buzz Gunderson in the teen fantasy drama series ‘Teen Angel´ in 1989. The same year, he played Todd Mahaffey in the sitcom ‘Sister Kate’.
Then in 1990, the actor portrayed the character of Brandon Walsh in the series ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’. He also directed 15 of the series’ episodes. Two years later, he hosted an episode of ‘Saturday Night Live’. The same year, he had a voice role in ‘Eek! The Cat.’
Soon after this, Priestley appeared in the movies ‘Calendar Girl’ and ‘Tombstone’. He then acted in the TV movie ‘Choices of the Heart: The Margaret Sanger Story’.
In 1997, the Canadian-American star served as a voice artist for the television movie ‘Vanishing Point’. The following year, he had another voice role in ‘Superman: The Animated Series’.
From the early to mid-1990s, Jason Priestley, as a race car driver, rallied a Toyota Celica All-Trac in SCCA Pro Rally Series. He later on drove Ford Mustangs in other competitions, such as IMSA GTS, USRRC GT1, and Motorola Cup competition.
In 1997, Jason Priestley directed the documentary film ‘Barenaked in America’. Three years later, he appeared in the TV movies ‘Common Ground’, ‘Homicide: The Movie’ and ‘Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye’.
