On 8 May 1994, Jason David Frank married Shawna. The couple had three kid: Jacob, Hunter and Skye. Jason and Shawna separated in April 2001.
In 2003 the actor cum martial artist got married to Tammie, who herself is a martial artist. The couple has a daughter named Jenna Frank.
Jason David Frank was born on September 4, 1973 in Covina, California, USA to parents Janice Frank and Ray Frank. His mother Janice was of half-Polish and half-Greek descent. He had an elder brother, Eric Frank, who died in 2001.
He developed an interest in martial arts at a tender age. At the age of four, Frank started training at the Red Dragon Karate School.
Jason David Frank first appeared as Tommy Oliver in the 1993 series ‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’. He then appeared in ‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie’.
In 1996, he did ‘Power Rangers Zeo’. The same year, he starred in the series ‘Sweet Valley High’ and ‘Family Matters’. A year later, the actor got featured in ‘Power Rangers Turbo’. After this, he played the role of Carl in the series ‘Undressed’.
Frank then appeared in an episode of ‘Power Rangers Wild Force’ in 2002. Two years later, he acted in ’Power Rangers Dino Thunder’. In 2007, he played Tommy Keen in the flick ‘The Junior Defenders’. Seven years later, he did an episode of ‘Power Rangers Super Megaforce’.
He then did the web series ‘Ninjak vs. the Valiant Universe’ and ‘Transformers: Titans Return’ in 2017. The same year, he appeared in a cameo role in the movie ‘Power Rangers’.
Jason David Frank has a deep knowledge of several different techniques of martial arts that include Taekwondo, Shotokan, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Jeet Kune Do, Wado-Ryu, Wing Chun, Savate and Muay Thai. Borrowing elements from each of these techniques, he developed his own unique technique of American Karate namely ‘Toso Kune Do’.
In 2009, he signed with the sports marketing and management company, SuckerPunch Entertainment. He then made his MMA debut for United States Amateur Combat Association at the Houston Arena Theatre on January 30 where he defeated Jonathon "the Mack Truck" Mack in round 1 by omoplata submission.
On February 19, 2010, Frank fought his second fight against Chris Rose. The former defeated the latter in the first round by TKO. On May 8, 2010, Frank fought against James Willis in Cage Amateur Association "Cage Rage 7" and defeated his opponent in first round via KO.
On August 4, 2010, the American martial artist made his professional debut and fought with Jose Roberto Vasquez in Houston. He defeated Vasquez and won his pro MMA debut in the first round at the time of 0:46 via Rear Naked Choke Submission.
Frank made his debut with the Ultimate Warrior Challenge at their event on May 22, 2010. He fought against Carlos Horn in a heavyweight bout. In this event, Frank won the first round via armbar submission and defeated his opponent.
