Jamie Flatters began his acting career as Kieran in the episode titled ‘Nemesis’ of the TV miniseries ‘Flat TV’ in 2016. A year before, he had participated in Jack Petchey’s ‘Speak Out Challenge’, and emerged the winner. The show had helped him become popular in the entertainment industry and thus earn acting roles.

He is best known to most TV viewers for his role as Matt Furnish in the popular sitcom ‘So Awkward’, aired on Children's BBC, which broadcasts shows for children up to the age of 12. Jamie played one of the main roles in the show in season one and two. He was not available for season three. The series also starred Cleo Demetriou as Lily Hampton, Ameerah Falzon-Ojo as Jasmine Salford, and Sophia Dall'aglio as Martha Fitzgerald. The first series, which had 13 episodes, began airing on May 21, 2015 and concluded on August 6, 2015. The second season also had 13 episodes; it began in August 2016 and ended in November 2016.

In 2017, he was cast in the role of Luke Earlham, the character Andrew's son, who is a pupil in Laura's class in the TV series ‘Liar’, a thriller drama created by the brothers Harry and Jack Williams. The show was co-produced by SundanceTV and ITV. Also starring Joanne Froggatt and Ioan Gruffudd, it debuted on ITV on September 11, 2017. The first season concluded on October 16, 2017 and the second season of the series will start in 2019. It will focus on a whodunit storyline surrounding the dramatic and exciting climax of the first series' finale.
