Jaden Gil Agassi

Jaden Gil Agassi was born on October 26, 2001 at Valley Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada to renowned tennis professionals Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf. He was born three weeks prematurely, and just four days after the marriage of his parents at his father's Las Vegas home with only their mothers as witnesses. His first name is a masculine form of 'jade', a word his mother had always liked, and his middle name is to honor his father's trainer Gil Reyes. He has a younger sister named Jaz Elle Agassi who was born two years later on October 3rd, 2003. His paternal grandfather, Emmanuel 'Mike' Agassi, is a former Olympic boxer from Iran with Armenian and Assyrian heritage. Jaden is half-German from his mother's side.

Despite being born to legendary tennis players, Jaden and his sister were not forced into tennis by their parents, who themselves were forced into the game when they were very young and came to regret that in spite of all the fame. In fact, both Agassi and Graf have had enough of Tennis, and did not introduce the kids to the sports specifically. Instead, they were free to choose what they liked. Jaden tried a number of different sports before deciding to play baseball. His sister Jaz, on the other hand, became interested in horseback riding and hip-hop dancing as a child. The devoted parents do all they can to support their two children in pursuing their goals.

Jaden's father, who takes him to his junior baseball practices like any other father, never interfered with his coaching. He played for many schools he attended in Las Vegas, but is currently homeschooled according to his Perfect Game profile. Interestingly, while his father had mentioned in his autobiography 'Open' that he hated tennis for being the loneliest sport possible, Jaden loves "the teammate aspect" of baseball and "just having fun with a bunch of your friends".

Jaden Gil Agassi was interested in soccer, which he played for a season, as well as other sports, before settling with baseball. He reportedly "did not like the duels" in football. Throughout his youth, he played school baseball for several high schools in the Las Vegas area, where his family lives. During the summer, he played competitive baseball for the Las Vegas Recruits and very quickly proved himself to be one of his team's top players. Known for his extraordinary hand-eye coordination and his ability to hit home runs, he has been honored with four 'Most Valuable Player' awards already. Choking his fastball in the high 80s, the high school sophomore became among the most wanted recruits in his class. In September 2017, his uncle announced via his official Instagram account that the youngster had committed to play baseball at the University of Southern California.

Jaden Gil Agassi is a six-foot-three-inch right-handed pitcher/third baseman who is a member of the 2020 recruiting class. He is also a star two-way player for the Las Vegas Recruits travel team, even though most coaches and scouts think that he will play best on the mound. In 2016, he was named into 'Perfect Game's All-Tournament Team' thanks to his batting average of .405 and one run in 23 innings at 'Perfect Game' events throughout the year. In January 2017, he was honored as the 'Most Valuable Pitcher' for helping LVR win the 'Perfect Game West MLK Championship' at the Dodgers' Camelback Ranch spring training facility. He has a total of four MVP honors to his name. He was the 'Underclass High Honorable Mention' in the 2017 season and was named into the '2018 Underclass 2nd Team'.
